Just wanted to post my mileage from my last trip to the mountains. I just bought a 04 Z71 Tahoe with the 5.3 flex. Its got stock tires(for now :naughty
265-70-17 goodyear wranglers. 3.73 gears. I was expecting about 15-16 on the hiway. Hand figuring the mileage over 1500 miles.....I got a low of 14 in the mountains which was over 3 hrs of back road, 4x4, dirt and gravel driving. To a max of 18.4 on the interstate doing between 70-80. eace:eace: I'm used to my dodge truck getting 10 going downhill with a tailwind. I'm pumped. My wifes 04 Yukon 4x2 gets just slightly better, like 1/2 mpg.
