Hey guys,
Need some quick help. Have 02 Tahoe 5.3 w/ 147k miles on it. Have had it serviced regularly. Has run great, no issues what so ever. So , I'm pretty alarmed that 4 days ago,(after driving home from work) the trans shifted REALLY hard when I started off from the traffic light. It only does this when its warm. Starting off cold, you cant even tell its shifting. When warm, hear a faint "clunk" through each gear. Then , it stops after a few minutes of sitting at lights. Have no idea what the issue is. Changed the fluid (but not the filter), still did it this morning. If it matters, I regularly tow a 4000 lb. boat (but the shifting issue did not happen on a 100 mile trip this weekend).
have trip this weekend and dont trust it. Any ideas?
