High Mileage Vehicle oil question

I have a 2008 LTZ with 118k miles on it. Question is which oil should I be using?
Conventional 5W30, or Penzoil High Mileage 5W30, or Valvoline Max Life synthetic blend 5W30. I change the oil every 3k miles and Mobil 1 is just too expensive.

I have a 94' K1500 truck that I bought with 50k and have had for 17 years. I have been using the quaker state 5w30 high mileage (now Defy) for most of those years. It now has 221k on it, and although it has it's small leak areas, it leaves no drops in my driveway and the engine is still in great shape. Just my 2 cents. good luck.

I have a 05 tahoe with 300,000. Well taken care of, but I just started getting oil coming from somewhere on the side of the engine with the water pump is on. Wat type of oil should I use && any ideas on the oil leak.
