How many of you plan on keeping their Tahoe over 5 years?

I buy and keep my cars until they get to expensive to fix. How ever long that may be. It is quite nice not having car payments and it keeps me from caring about depreciation.

In '09 it will be 5 years for me. I almost had my '97 Tahoe for five years but I traded it in for my current one.

I had my last one ('97) for 10 years. Heck - it will be five years and it will just be paid off!! So YES I plan I keeping this one until the tires fall off!

In for the long haul on this one. Vehicles are so expensive now, they should be owned until they die. At least 10 years. I only drive 6-7k miles a year so at tens years my Yukon should have roughly 70k miles on it. Should still be running strong with proper maintenance.

I drove a Honda Passport for 10 years before buying the Tahoe. I'll probably drive the Tahoe at least that long.

Funny you should mention about being buried in a Z71 - even though I am only 48, I told my wife, if something happens to me and my truck is still in good shape, put me in the driver seat with my shades on, the stereo blasting and bury me away! :smilielol:

12,000 miles in 4 months.. I'll be ready for a new one in 5 years. I wear 'em out before I get tired of 'em.

I've been thru far too many vehicles in the last five years. Had I stuck with my 1st Avalanche it would've been paid off this year, but unfortunately I kept getting the new car bug. Oh well, live and learn. I'm in the Tahoe for the long haul cause there isn't anything out there I like better..........until the 2013 or later redesign comes out.

Why is 2013 a magic year?

Just a guess at when the redesign might happen. I'm hoping its no sooner than that because I need to keep this one for awhile.

Most people don't seem to keep car very long these days and 5 years seems like a long time, I myself plan on keeping mine for over 10 years.

My '01 dosen't look good underneath.
Kept it too long. Soon to be turned in.
Numerous things went wrong in those years but it's got to be better than a F-O-R-D..
