Most people don't seem to keep car very long these days and 5 years seems like a long time, I myself plan on keeping mine for over 10 years.

In for the long haul on this one. Vehicles are so expensive now, they should be owned until they die. At least 10 years. I only drive 6-7k miles a year so at tens years my Yukon should have roughly 70k miles on it. Should still be running strong with proper maintenance.
I had my last one ('97) for 10 years. Heck - it will be five years and it will just be paid off!! So YES I plan I keeping this one until the tires fall off!
I've been thru far too many vehicles in the last five years. Had I stuck with my 1st Avalanche it would've been paid off this year, but unfortunately I kept getting the new car bug. Oh well, live and learn. I'm in the Tahoe for the long haul cause there isn't anything out there I like better..........until the 2013 or later redesign comes out.
I hope that this body style stays around for a few years as I don't know how else they could improve it.
