1. Use the NEW Pedders 4363 Front Bumpstop
2. Use the NEW Pedders 4364 Rear Bumpstop
3. Self Leveling Option ONLY If the vehicle is equipped with self-leveling suspension, replace the ride height sensor rods with those supplied by Pedders. Self Leveling Option ONLY If the vehicle is equipped with self-leveling suspension, replace the ride height sensor rods with those supplied by Pedders.
Remove self leveling rods before removing strut assembly. Damage may occur to leveling sensors when dropping control arm to full drop. Replace leveling rods only after strut assembly has been replaced in the vehicle.
4. Ball Joint Rod Ends When removing the nylon ball joint connectors from the OE self-leveling ride height sensors be sure not to damage the nylon ball joint heads.
4.1. Use a chaff protected pliers to grasp the shaft of the nylon ball joint connector.
4.2. NEVER remove the nylon ball joint connector by grasping the ball end. This will weaken the part and may result in premature failure
4.3. Screw the OE nylon ball joint connectors onto the new self-leveling ride height sensor rods supplied by Pedders.
5. Control Arm Bolts
5.1. Leave ALL control arm bolts loose while installing the new Pedders Sports Coils.
5.2. Loosen any remaining control arm bolts with the weight off the wheels (with the wheels hanging freely at full droop)..
5.3. Drive the vehicle with the control arm bolts loose to the alignment rack (for approximately 100 yards)
5.4. Tighten the control arm bolts ONLY with the weight on the wheels on the alignment rack (With the vehicle at ride height or with the vehicle at rest on the ground)
5.5. Align the vehicle to OE Factory Specifications.
6. Quality Control Check to verify that every bolt has been properly tightened and torqued to spec as required. This is Standard Pedders Operating Procedure (SOP).

GMT900 Self-Leveling Strut
Front Shock Absorber Nut
Notice: Do not allow the absorber rod to rotate during disassembly/reassembly. Use hand tools to keep the absorber rod from rotating. If air tools are used, and the rod is allowed to rotate, damage to the absorber may occur.
Procedure
1. Using a Kent-Moore model J 45400 or other heavy duty strut compressor, collapse the front suspension spring.
2.
Install a Pedders GMT900 Strut Tool on the strut shaft to prevent the shaft from rotating. Use deep stepped 18mm, or equivalent wrench to remove the nut. 3. Tighten nut to only 50 N•m (37 lb ft) when re-installed
Pedders GMT900 Suspension Tips
•
Mark the two inner studs with a paint-pen before removing assembly from the vehicle. Align the lower mounting bracket to the marked studs as you re-assemble the unit in the spring compressor.
•
Be certain to match the new coil end against the upper spring insulator / spring seat.•
Loosen all rotational control arm bolts to remove the strut as well as the sway bar endlinks. Tighten all ten only with the full weight of the vehicle on the wheels level on the alignment rack rails.
