Is my engine toast?

[4x4van]

196K miles, oil level is good but oil pressure is only at about 20 while driving, drops to 0 at idle, beeps/low oil pressure warning in DIC, valves ticking.

Time for a new engine, or is there something easier and cheaper that I may be overlooking?

Might just be the oil pump. With the research I've done. Its seems to be the thing that goes out. Heard it was a real pain to get to as well if you have the Tahoe with four wheel drive.
