i had my tahoe in the other day to get the oil changed. the wife comes back and says the service manager told her our bow tie was in bad shape and if she had an extra 10 minutes he would fix it under warranty. i assumed he was just looking for a way to get a few extra bucks. later that day my buddy that also has an 08 just a few months old pulled up and i looked at his and sure enough they crack up and the gold comes out of them. i never would have noticed. take a look at yours.
