Hey guys, I'm curious. I have a 4 yr lease (I'm self employed so it makes sense) and I'm getting 12k miles a year. my payment with taxes is 730..
I just talked to a buddy who claims that he got a 36 month lease for 12k at 550 a month on the same denali that I have. Is this possible if we both only put down 2500 including everything.

Sounds too good to true. A lease for my 08 Tahoe would have been 625.00 per with 7500 down. (I bought instead.)
I'd ask to see the lease agreement to verify his numbers.

Well, he is only "using" 36,000 miles, you are using 48,000 miles so your residual value must have been real low? That accounts for a lot right there...I am on a 39 mo, 12k/year lease, zero out of pocket (did use some GM points and rebates, came out to about $2500), and I'm at $482 with tax...sticker probably wasn't as high as your Denali, it was just under $50,000 on window (but I didn't pay that after I ground him down!)

Residual value is big in leases, and I'd guess that your's is really low at 48,000 miles of usage...I want to say mine was around 60%?? It seems realistic to me, but you'd have to see the real numbers used to be sure.

I leased my 2007 back in July, the sticker price for it was 51k. I paid 44k for it and i am leasing it with 2k down and 39 months with 12k miles per year for $614 per month. I feel i got a good deal! The denali was $725 and the Escalade was $812 per month. Hope this helps
