Starting to tear in to a few small projects on my '99 Tahoe.

My drivers side mirror housing/shell is chipped on the bottom, and I'd like to get that fixed, My question: I have factory heated mirrors - do I need a specific housing/shell to allow the factory heated unit enough room, or will any old one work?

I've got a few black ones, in varying shape, to pick from at the local pick-n-pull. I started to tear one off and realized I'd better check if the guts on a heated unit will fit in one that isn't.

Thanks!

I believe all the mirror "shells" are the same for the '99 Tahoes. You should be able to use any one from 95-99
