Need bigger Rims/Tires for my 2007 Tahoe

I want to put 22 inch rims and tires to my 2007 Tahoe LS (currently with 17 inch stock) I'm hearing different views on tire sizes. What is the largest tires I can put on them without rubbing the fender? I initially get 305/40/22 but one tire/rim dealer told me that it will rub on fender......thoughts?

Those wont rub........

They can rub if that dealer sells you wheels that have the wrong offsets. 22x9.5 with a +30 offset is ideal incase you care.

Thanks Azsctaco...appreciate the input. I have the stock rims on it so I assume it's the proper offsets.
