Dropped my truck off for an A/C line and heater core replacement 10 days ago. I picked it up wed and upon startup, it was very sluggish feeling and put off noticeable valve tick. After driving 15 miles, shutting it down, and driving another 5 or so, the noise was greatly reduced. I remember the oil pressure gauge dropping into the 15 range at idle.

I had never heard the valve noise before. And I know what it sounds like, having run on Datsun 240 Z's (those inline 6's put out some serious valve clatter).

Anyhow, I'm concerned my oil pressure to the driver side head is down.

My gauge is now reading 25-30 at idle, and it runs up to 60 when cold and under way.

Pressure seems to read normal when oil is warm and under load - 40psi.

What the hell happened over that week that my rig was sitting?

its got 96k on truck and motor.
