problem removing caliber to replace rear brakes

has anyone had a problem removing the rear brake caliber on an 04 Yukon or tahoe i'm trying to replace my rear brakes because one side just went bad on me and i can't even get the caliber removed

i never worked on your particular model but have seen on some cars that the rear caliper inside pad is stationary and you have to release it by unscrewing a screw on the inside of the caliper somewhere. this could be what is still holding on the caliper to the disc. not sure just a suggestion. good luck

did you push the piston back first? you should be able to just remove the lower bolt & swing the caliper up to remove pads
