Rear end swap

I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 4x4 im beefing up my truck to handle towing better my wife wants a travel trailer for when we go out of town and i dont want to buy a new truck so I'm putting in trans cooler /a class 4 hitch receiver / a 160 thermostat. I'm trying to make sure the truck stay the beast that she is. So my coworker told me I should put a rear end from a 2500 Suburban to help with the pulling of the trailer I looked up the ratios my truck is a 3.73 and i found some 2500 rear end that are also a 3.73 ratio. Has anyone done this swap before or have a Insight on it that I may have missed the will keep this from working
