Some guidance would be very appreciated.

'05 Tahoe LT, 24k miles

There's a ticking noise I hear when ridin gon the road and going over standard bumps and grooves in the pavement. I think the sound is coming from the area of the front tires. It almost sounds like a nut or bolt rattling around under the front axle. Only when I go over bumps and grooves. Very strange.

I want to bring it into the shop, but I don't want the guys there to think I'm crazy!

Any ideas what that could be?
Thanks,
Tom

Check to see if there are any rocks or debris in or on the rims. Also make sure the tires, rims, and or center caps are tight. I have seen a lot of vehicles with ticking noises from a wheel that have been caused by a rock between the rim and hub cap and also center caps or tires not being tightened down all the way. Start with the simple and go from there.
