This was probably covered in past discussions, but I couldnt find what I was looking for. My question is basically this: if i back off the tensioning bolts on the torsion bars with the front suspension hanging, then break the lower ball joint loose, will the lower control arm lower enough to release the tension on the bars enough to remove the LCA without using the torsion bar tool that no one seems to rent in my area? I'm not real comfortable using the big C clamp method or the gear puller method; I'd rather do it right and keep all my fingers. I'll buy the tool if I have to, but I already have plenty of one-time-use tools laying around taking up space.
