Hi all,

I have a '98 2-door Tahoe, 4WD, Z71. I recently bought some new wheels for the truck that are thicker than the originals. Had them put on and the mechanic had a fit that the lug wasn't grabbing enough of the wheel stud. Says there's only 5-6 threads grabbing the stud, and that it was not good.

My question: Where in the hell do I find custom studs? I've looked and looked and looked. Surely I can't be the first person to have this problem.

Stock size wheel stud is M14x1.5, knurl 16mm, 45.5mm underhead length. I literally just need another 3/8" of underhead length and I'm set. Where can I find these??????????????????????????????

Some autoparts stores will sell them by length, I have had the "well what size do you need" discussion a few times ending with "whatever fits".....
