Guys,

Just found this site and registered and have been trolling for 2 weeks sinice purchasing my Yuke. Great site!

Where are you mounting brake controllers for trailering? Any suggestions? Also, I have the tow package but there was no cable to hook the controller up. Doesn't GM supply that like the "other guys" always do?

Thanks for your help! I'm sure I'll ask for more suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

most people mount the controller to the right of the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash. Its out of the way and still easy to reach when needed. In the new 07 GM's they ditched the plug harness and left you wires under the dash. Look under the left side of the dash under the brake release and you will see a small bundle of wires taped up. Un bundle these and route them over to the controller. There is a white tag with the color and function of the wire. You will need to also connect two wires under the hood to the junction box. Both wires are tape under the hood, both are Red/Black. One is located agaisnt the driverside fender and junction box, the other is taped to the harness leading down towards the steering shaft. Open the junction box and locate the two studs at the front. Connect the wires here. The studs are different diameters so you can not get them wrong. You will need to get a fmx fuse for the battery charge line (stud closest to the fender). Also two nuts.

Thanks for the information! I'll look at it later today!

Does anyone know if the trailer tow mirrors on the trucks will fit on my Yukon? I haven't been close enough to one yet to see if they are the same.

I know they don't look as good but I have them on my Excursion and they are great for towing my 32' TT. If not, are there any other options other than the clamp on style?

Thanks again!

Mike
