While traveling across town yesterday, a rock kicked up and hit the windshield of my 07 Tahoe. I do have a small crack. I live in Tempe Arizona so I do not have to deal with extreme temperature shifts but I am concerned with the repair. With some electronics in the rear view mirror assembly and with my Viper alarm sensor mounted on th windshield - I'm wondering where I should take the truck when it is time to have it repaired. I am sure many others get hit on at the car wash by the guys wanting to repair chips in a windshield and I am not sure I can trust those guys. I also realize that the dealer will cost more and will most likely contract the work out. Anyone else had to deal with this?
