this is Tim From Sound Performance, The company who sold Arther the Procharger kit and installed it.

The tune done to this truck is from Fastchips, You send the ECU to them along with all the details from the truck and they flash it for you. (this is how it comes from ATI) When we got the ECU back and made a pull.... it went dead lean!!! So after many phone calls to ATI and fastchips we saw at that point that the wrong injectors were sent with the kit!!! we installed the new ones and it was just fine. This is why each tune is verified with HP tuners...

The Truck was dynoed on a mustang Dyno that was in the middle of a 15,000 mile tune up. So the #'s may be a bit off. The smart tach was inoperable at the time so no TQ readings could be done. My concern at the time was delivery of the truck and to make sure that the tune was correct and that all systems were functional.

We dynoed the truck with the Aid of HP tuners just to make sure all was ok. The tune was spot on!!! I can log AF's if you would like the next time you come in but it will be from the tailpipe and may read different, or I can install an UEGO sensor in the Y pipe and log it from there.

I don't know how they would know if it was conservative or not, without seeing the AF. My guess is they pulled the timing back alot. Which would reduce power.

Good Luck!

The car was not tuned using a dyno sheet.... We Verified the fastchip tune using HP tuners. ATI nor fastchip (Ed Wright) would tune at the edge of the envolope, therefore it is a conservitave tune. If it was my vehicle I would have tuned it with HP, but this is for a customer... You have to make sure it will be a "safe" tune and he wont come back with a blown motor.

So I assume you scanned as you were tuning to make sure there was no KR.

But how do you tune without AF? I tune with HPTuners and I also have a wideband installed.

Knock was monitored with HP tuners, WB was monitored on the tial pipe with a gauge and through the narrow band Using HP.

We saw 12.1 at the rear which would give you about 11.6 before the cats. I can check and see if I saved the logs.

Yes the system can removed and reinstalled. there is no modifications that would indicate to a mechanic that the SC kit was installed. The only issue would be the ECU re-flash... You would have to send the ECU back to fast chips and have the stock tune put back in.

Cant you get a second PCM with a stock tune though when ever you brought it to the dealer? A bunch of people on hear did that with their Black Bear tunes,

Every PCM we send out is flashed with the latest GM software for your VIN before we send it out.

I hope everybody is satisfied with Tim's answers, especially Ed who had a lot of tough questions I personally could not address. Now that you have everything lay out in front of you I hope everyone will have better idea what to expect and what's involved with this kind of mod.
I had a chance to drive my car for about a week I can tell you that it performs very well and I'm happy to say that Procharger delivers what it promised. Roots or twin screw charger would probably be better for what I was really looking for but we been thru this already.
Thanks to the guys from SP in Chicago, especially Tim, for an excellent install and support.
