A bad intake gasket can cause a lean condition and rough idle, especially when cold. Check the bank 2 (passenger side) gasket for any vacuum leaks while the engine is cold.
If you are having fuel delivery issues, more than likely the pump is getting weak or your filter is clogged. As stated earlier, the fuel pump relay will have the pump in either a on or off state, nothing in between.
Knock sensors (there are two) are located on the lifter valley cover underneath the intake manifold. You'll need to remove the entire manifold/plenum/fuel rail assembly to access them.
Here's an idea:
Let's have one person from each generation be in charge of the calendar entry threads for that section. We'll set a couple simple rules, a deadline, and then have a poll to see which trucks have the most votes to go into the "best of the best", all generation calendar. We'll...
I would have the additional sensors/options added at the same time of the install, for the same reasons OmarR stated, and because in most cases, it's less trouble for the installer. I hate going back into someone else's install and adding stuff. Not every installer does everything the same way...
I completely forgot about the San Antonio location. That should save me a decent chunk of change for shipping. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions guys. I'll have some new pictures up as soon as I get her back and all cleaned up.
Not sure how, who, or why the threads were merged. I honestly like the idea of a dedicated calendar for each generation, and then maybe one with the best of all three body styles. But it's strictly up to you guys.
I was leaning towards the HD in the first place, so that's what I'm sticking with. I can't seem to find a cowl hood that looks just right on these trucks. Besides, there's too many trucks running around here that have the cowl hoods already. So, HD it is. I'm ordering tonight. When I get my...
I'm running 305/35/24. The ride is stiffer than before because of the sidewall and shorter springs, but not bad enough that my wife doesn't complain. I like it because it handles much better with the stiffer springs, less sidewall flex, and lower CG.
I noticed right away when I put the wheels...
^^^ That's a nice truck^^^. Sorry I can't offer any advice on which way to go. I like both when done right. These trucks look good both lifted and dropped, so I guess you can't go wrong either way.
I'm trying to decide on which hood to go with, but having a hard time. I like both. Only thing about going with a cowl is that it's more common. I'm leaning a bit towards the HD, but need a little more persuasion. What do you guys think? I need to decide and order by Thursday morning.
Cowl...
I used to hate when it snowed a lot. But since I moved down here and don't see it anymore, I actually miss it. The longer warm weather here is nice though, especially with all the lakes and water parks, etc. But the humidity kicks your @ss pretty bad, at least mine.
Anyway, good luck on the...
With my 3/5, my rear shocks are definitely noticeable from the rear. You can see them from the sides as well through the wheels. They're white though, so I'm sure that makes it a bit more noticeable.
