    no heat from dash ducts

there are some repair kits that allow to cut out a portion of the box to replace or repair the doors, then cover the hole made with some tin or using the piece cut out to patch the hole made. Otherwise, you have to evac the ac, remove the ac core inorder to remove the box to get to the doors...

    oil line to hot radiator

95 tahoe, among other years have oil line that run from a unit the oilfilter attaches to, to the radiator. My first thought, it is an oil cooler. But it goes to the hot side of the radiator, not the cooled side. 185 degree water or hotter is not the best way to cool the oil. What is th purpose...

    no heat from dash ducts

the climate control unit was replaced, which does bring up another question, but this problem existed before replacing the unit. My 95 unit had the exposed chip board style unit, at some time in mid 95 GM changes the style of unit as seen in 96 but kept the same wire harness, which ment they...

    99 tahoe oil pressure low?

My 95 does the same thing. When warn and stopped at a light the oil pressure drops to about 5-10 psi. Then the light come on. I agree with flatfoot, change the pump. I would not recommend a high volumn pump since it could suck the pan dry under high rpm or continuous high rpm. Then you will...

Pros/Cons of dry vs. oiled-filter cold air intake

I have a 95' tahoe, and I put in a Volant unit, oil type. Have no problems. One point to make, They claim it does not fit the tahoe, but does fit the yukon. They are almost wrong. When I installed mine, it did not align well with the tbi. The hat and tube sat at an angle with the tbi so...

Rough idle -could it be the Alternator?

If the alt is not putting out the 13.8-14.4v. the computers are not getting the voltage needed. Results, poor running, hard shifting, and there should be some sort of error codes. If the alt is new, have it check again, I have had new alt be bad right from the get go. Afterall they are reman...

wiring harness for heater control unit

I have a older model 95 tahoe (02/95). And like so many, I am have problems with the enviroment control unit. I found a new control unit that was listed for a 95'. But apparently sometime in mid 95 they changed the control unit to like the 96 version. It looks the same on the front but the...

1995 Tahoe Smoke on startup and acceleration

have you done a compression test, has it ever gotten hot. here is test to do. may have to make an adaptor, but with the valves closed, pressurize each cylinder with air to find leaks. check to find if air leaks into the radiator or thru the valve cover. could be a cracked head gasket or...

    95 Tahoe exhuast question

I do not think so. My 95 has a single 02 sensor just before the cat. If the 96-99 has two 02 sensors, will not work.

    5.7l mode door actuator hvac

test the motor when pluged in but not connected to the door. check if it is cycling completely both directions. next I would check the motor, may have been assembled incorrectly. on Dorman parts the gear stop is built into the gear, on GM parts it is built into the housing. have to take...
