We're in and rockin, Here are a few pics from the begining. Not as hard as I expected. I will be fiberglasing the bezel for a clean look this week. I also just got the plastic cleaners, paint prep and paint for the bezel. I figured if I'm going this far, why take short cuts. My hats off to JK...
I bought this 1 year ago and slowly but surely doing everything possible to extend its life. She's just shy of 97K. I want to do brake pads and rotors, I replaced the stock 16" rims for 18" escalade rims.
Nothing is ever simple, Navigation works backwards, lost sound from a few speakers, and the from left now sounds like a transister radio speake. WTF???
Well now the only thing I plan on doing myself is taking it to a shop to get straight. At one time I had no problem with alot of this. Now...
Well I finished the install on the Pioneer, still have to put center console back in. A guy from bestbuy said it wasnt neccessary to connect the wire to the ebrake. Everything still plays while driving. He also said I didnt need to connect one of the wires to the rear reverse lamp for GPS. Heres...
Nothings simple, while installing a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT in my "00" SLT Yukon, I was getting ready to solder the wire harness when I read in the Pioneer install book depending on the subs watts depends on how to wire up the rear speakers to the sub. The manual asks if it is 70w. Does anyone know...
After researching what correct shocks I need, the dealer said I have Manual Leveling Control Premium Smooth Shocks. In street terms $419.00 Each. Looks like Firestone screwed me in the replacement dept. Any suggestions for new shocks on the rear besides paying that price.
Called the local stealership for a price on rear shocks, they quoted me 415.00 each. I have a 2000 Yukon SLT. Does that sound right. The original ones looked a little beefyer than the set Firestone put on awhile back, (I was out of town on a saturday with a broken shock) but 415 seems a little...
Well I started my latest mod putting an AVIC-F700BT in a 2000 Yukon SLT.
Question is can I mount these together or do I have to seperate them? Any input will be greatly appreciated

Just curious, I have a 2000 SLT Yukon, and I want to relocate my climate control from the dash, under the radio to the center console area where the cassette tape was located. Im not sure what all is involved as far as wire length and are there any vacuum hoses involed. This is a mod I have...
My Yukon rear shocks were replaced recently at a Firestone dealer NAPA shocks. The original ones appeared to be larger in Diameter compaired to the new ones that look a lot smaller.
Any advice???

At work we were talking about shocks, I mentioned I had to put on NAPA shocks on the rear last week because I broke one over the weekend. I said I would like to put Bilstiens on the front and back. He laughed at me and said all shocks are made by Bilstien. This kid s claim to fame is he know...

I'm not lowering, I'm not lifting, When I go over a bump I get a terrible noise from the rear, I'd say the passenger side. When I stop hard the truck doesnt continue to rock but when it does go to the return position I hear it again. Its not a squeek, its more like a squak sound. I have just...
I was quoted yesterday $1195.00 for a lowering kit and install on a 2000 Yukon. I wanted a 1" front and 3" rear lowering kit. They said it was an 8 hour job and the kit was $675.00
How hard is it for DIY. and also what is the average cost for this mod
