I bought my suburban new in March of 2007 and have only put 24000 miles on her. Now the chrome on the rims is starting to peel and blister. I brought the truck to the dealer today to take a look at the rims. He told me he was going to call me back that he had to call the rim dealer to see how...
You are describing an aftermarket kill switch (alarm system). After hitting the unlock button on the remote and turning the alarm system off you can start the truck normally, but the reason why you cannot start the truck after sitting in it for 30 seconds is because the alarm system resets...
I think your right. I don't think GM would make two wiring harness, one for and one without.
I know for a FACT my Toyota and my Kenworth have all the wires there, just not all the options.
Can anyone tell me if we have a roadside assistance program?
My truck has 15K, is 23 months old and I bought it brand new.
I locked the keys in my suburban last night and was told that I don't have roadside assistance.
There is no reason why you can't get $1000.00 for the rims if you want to wait for a buyer. How long will it take to sell them at a grand, 6 months? A year?
If you were to drop that price to $600.00 they would sell in a matter of days.
Problem with selling them for a grand is, everyone...
Sure its bad, the risk is that the crankshaft hits the oil level, causing hydraulic shock and for which its not designed. And of course if the level is really high it starts getting into the piston area.
Bring her back to the dealer and have them drain some oil out of it.
Since you already bought 6 qts after you install the filter add 5 qts of oil
start the motor for 30 seconds to get the oil into the new filter and shut it off
wait 5 mintues for oil to drain back to the pan and recheck the oil level
If the oil level is still low add the extra qt and...
Cool, that's one question down and two to confirm.
I'm sure it won't effect anything but just want to make sure and I also think that I will need to have the dealer reprogram every time I swap them out.
I can get a used/mint set of chrome 20" rims for my suburban for $300.00. I'M not to sure of the name of the rims. The tires that are on the rims now will only have 6 months or so left on them.
I mainly want to get them so I can take my chrome 20's off for the winter months and use these...
Maybe we should all email WeatherTech and ask them to make a pop-out seat rail section and not one that needs to be cut out. I think if enough emails are sent they will listen.
