Do you have a lift kit at all? That might be pushing it unless you crank the torsion bars.

That makes sense, you could probably sell the ones for the truck and just buy the corresponding Tahoe part. They came with my Tahoe, but they are 3 inch fender flares and not painted.

The powerdyne kit comes with a new bracket that drops the alternator ~4 to 6 inches, can't remember how much exactly.

tyler9112: What kind of 4 inch lift kit do yo have? Any pictures? I am looking to go a tad lower with my Tahoe, I have the 6 inch Pro Comp lift.

There are differences in the wheelbase, I know Pro Comp sells a different kit for each model because of that.

Could my '96 Tahoe with a Powerdyne XB-1a supercharger get a tune from Black Bear? I think it is running a tad rich at times.

The Powerdyne kit is a bolt on kit. I have bigger fuel injectors, headers, and a cat back exhaust. The engine was rebuilt before the supercharger install, but nothing was beefed up... 35K miles later it is still running :yesnod: I am getting ready to send the supercharger for a rebuild with...

Your best bet is to find someone local with a stock Tahoe/Yukon who wants to lift theirs. Try the different full size forums and go from there... maybe you can offer they meet you at the shop of their choosing and pay the labor fees and do a direct swap of the suspension. Goodluck!

Better yet, buy a left over 2008 Escalade ESV for $48-50K. My Father sold his 2007 ESV a couple months ago. He had a custom quad exhaust, stereo, intake, etc on it. He got $36K for it:

Rollin Thunder, I just noticed you are from Virginia Beach! I grew up there! I graduated from Kempsville High and then went to UVA for undergrad (2002 grad). What a small world... my parents and siblings still live there.

There are a couple guys on FSC that have done the LT1 swap. The LT1 in the B, D, and F body cars had iron heads. The LT1 in the Corvette had aluminum heads. I have a LT1 in my '96 Fleetwood, very easy to upgrade. It will be coming out for a ZZ502 swap... I say...
