01 LT Tahoe Speaker sounds intermittently cuts off

Has anyone ran into an issue where the sound intermittently cuts off from the rear? It sounds like a CD skipping; funny I know but annoying.

Is it a wiring issue with the speakers and possible ONstar?

check the boots in the doors where they fold. i had this problem till they stoped working in my 05 dodge ram. rear doors in the boot that connects to the Cpillar had three wires broke. replaced and they were brand new. its wierd it happened on rear doors because they never get used.
