This is a two part question.

I am the new owner of a 2015 Tahoe LTZ.

1) How do I open the center console (From storage box up to radio)

2) I'd like to wire in an unswitched 12v circuit. I'd like to do it cleanly, so I would rather plug right into the fuse box, instead of tapping into a line somewhere. I could use some direction as to what hardware would be needed.

Thank you in advance!

It depends on where you want to extend wire from.

First, I am unsure how to remove the console top. I think it comes off pretty easily using plastic trim removal tools, but I'm trying to confirm that myself. I may be breaking down and purchasing the shop manuals now that they are finally available.

In the rear, left (driver's) side of the cargo area there is a removable panel that houses another fuse panel. At the top of that is a stud that is 12V direct form the battery. Real easy to pull a new circuit off of that stud. All you would need is a ring terminal connector that will fit over the stud and you're good to go.

That's a long ways to run a line, for just a 12v unswitched...
