Adjust gas pedal reach - Can it be done?

I would like the bring the gas pedal up closer to driver but not adjust brake pedal. (I have the electric pedals but they adjust together) I would like to merely lift my toe, pivot my heal and apply the brake. But there is so much difference between the two pedals, I have to lift my foot off one and apply the other. Also, where I am comfortable with one, the other pedal is either a long reach or too close. I am 5'10" so my height is not an issue.

May be just the way it is but I am still not used to it after 6 months. Ideas?

I've noticed that too. when I take my foot off the gas the side of my foot hits the brake pedal.
