Searching for lube oil for auto transfer case on my Tahoe 2001.
Auto trak II is recommended from GM.
Is there oil that can replace this Auto trak II?
The reason for this question is that the sealings on axles is leaking, wondering if I can pour some kind of "re-sealing" into the case....

You have to replace the seal, transfer case oil won't go into the axle assembly you have to replace the fluid in the actual differential itself. There is no replacement for the auto trak II fluid, you'll have to pony up the money for the expensive blue stuff. Pretty easy to work on the axles in these trucks, front is really easy after you drop the diff and everything out to work on.

tnx for fast answer!
I got this thoughts myself (replacement for autotrak oil).
Looks like I have to get this oil oversea to europe.

Those sealings is on the shafts out from the auto transfer case.
Thought maybe I could use this "re-seal" before going into the sealings mechanical.

If so, where could I bet these sealings in US? Must be a dealer that send oversea

The shop manual says 2 quarts (1.89 Liters), but it will start overflowing just shy of that. 1 liter is not enough.

Careful when you fill it, I ended up with about 1/4qt of overpriced fluid on my shop floor because my filler neck completely plugged the fill hole. Mine took 2qt dead on but a little extra is fine if you don't want to wait for all the extra to drain like my dumbass, it will just piss it out the vent tube once the tcase warms up.

Im not changing my fluid, just afterfilling.
It should be so full that the oil almost comes out of the filler hole?
