crossbars for your roof rack

yeah i just recently bought an 07 tahoe and i need to buy the crossbars for the roof racks so i can buy some snowboarding racks and mount them. does anyone know where i can find some. my dad can get them for from the dealership for $75 a piece. any thoughts?

Not sure if aftermarket crossbars will directly fit, but I have the GM's and they're nice.

i bought the GM ones from a dealer and they were about $75 for a pair.
The trick is to not buy them as "parts", as "parts" they are $75 a piece.
Request them as "accesories" and they are cheaper.

You have to unscrew the caps that secures the racks to the roof( at the rear of the roof) then the rails slide off. It is easy to do.

As stated above, rear caps come off. There are two torx screws in each side. They came out really easily. Slide the rails out, then reinstall the two torx screws.

I added some silicone to the screws threads before reinstalling. Probably not necessary.
