Anyone here with an 07 Denali (6.2) change their own oil? I can't for the life of me find the damned drain plug. Looks like it might be behind an unusual looking flat aluminum plug but without knowing what it's for, I'm hesitant to pull it off.

If you are laying on the ground underneath the front passenger door it will be staring right at you, sticking out of the side of the alum. block. The oil will drain out sideways towards the front passenger wheel. Make sure you have some type of tool to get the oil filter off and the new one back on, there is NO room to turn it with your fingers. I've got one of those end cap type wrenches and it works great. Hopefully that helps!

Yup...thanks! My H2 had a 6qt capacity as well. Makes it easier actually to just buy those 6qt boxes of Moblil 1 intead of juggling 4 loose bottles.

My old 85 1/2 Porsche 944 was something ridiculous like 7 qts IIRC.
