Got a 2003 LT couple months ago (had over 1\2 dozen Chevy trucks & SUVs but this our first Tahoe. We bought it in stock condition & it had 1 owner who was a pavement princess dentist who runs a huge dental lab. It was very well taken care of & good thing @ 225k miles. Not much was wrong with it (other than short on personality). Only work done of note so far is replaced rear climate control box (rear system blew straight cold), converted premium Smoothride to Bilstein 5100 series shocks & Z71 specced rear springs, throttle body clean & blacking out badges, wheels, bumpers, side chrome molding etc. Next on list is tracking own mysterious slow oil leak (noticed oil dripping off filter once in awhile), drivers side window regulator (slow & stalls) & drivers heated seat element. Once gone through it & content with it will move onto turning it bit more from pavement princess to a big boy toy.
I'm a disabled (from bad quad wreck) so some jobs can't do but so far been able to do everything myself as n average Joe driveway mechanic.
