Headunit Questions/Install Questions for a 97 Tahoe

So my amp and speakers will be here soon but I want a new headunit to go with the new setup and I had a couple questions...

Will I need a wiring harness? I read a few things about the newer models needing them, but I don't know about my 97.

What headunits do you guys recommend? I'm looking for something that goes with or compliments the stock dash, so I'm open to any suggestions that look nice.

My Hubby just installed a aftermarket deck and speakers in ours and yes we did have to get a dash kit, you can find them at most auto part stores or stereo shops, just look for the one that is fits 97 tahoe and we seen them in black and grey good luck!
