Guys, I am trying to gauge how my Tahoe is comparing to the rest on MPG. So far, I have managed to get about 320 miles/tank by the time my gauge reads empty, but no light yet (maybe off of 22 gals of gas?). This is about 50/50 city/hwy. Keeping my rpms to about 2k avg. Equaling to about 14.5 MPG.

What have you guys got?

I've been getting about 15-16 MPG on 10% ethanol. Could probably get a 1 or 2 MPG increase if I don't use 10% ethanol. Mine's about 50/50 also.

Lol.. yeah, no driving like an ass.

Well maybe my truck is not being as gas efficient as it could be? I have read of people getting 19-20 at 55 on the freeway. I've managed to get about 17 on those stretches...:ack:

I get about 245-250 miles. Full tank to low fuel light. Majority of it stop and go, with a little stretch on the highway. Its sucks, but don't mine too much with the current gas prices.

When I went with the wife to see trans Siberian Orchestra in Moline Illinois, I topped off my tank. I was going between 75-80mph on the way there and a steady 70mph. On that tank full, I got 438 miles. I average high 16s.

Everytime I fill up I divide the miles I have on my trip at the time of fill up and the number of gallons to fill up. I seem to average 15.87-16.13 mpg.

I'm thinking I can get about 400 miles to a tank, I got it a couple of times, cruising the interstate.

Well it would definitely seem reachable. I think a Tahoe/Yukon holds about 26 gallons right? You figure by the time your gauge reads empty, you may still have 2 gallons in there +/-. 24 gallons x 19 MPG avg = 456 miles.

Anywhere from 280-340 depending on how fast I drive. I think I got about 250 out of the first tank after my tune :D

I drive mine like I stole it, in stop & go city traffic. Before the intake I was looking at 275 per tank. After, I get about 325. I'll take it, since I only drive 9 miles to work. :)

yeah, but I rarely get above 50 mph going home.

My commute is a 9 mile non-stop position jockey to the next stop light. Sometimes you gotta put your foot in it to get around the tourists & sight-seers who have no idea which pedal makes the car go. Plus, I love the sound of the 5.3 with the 77 Series on it. Exhaust is next on the list, someday...

I average 12mpg. so usually around 300 a tank. Depends on how I drive. But normally Im going to go with bahollis and say i drive like I stole it.:gy: And of course when you use half a tank in the mud your not getting any better gas mileage. :rolleyes2:

How much would an exhaust and cold air intake boost my MPG. And maybe any other parts people can suggest.

A big rock under the gas-pedal should increase your MPG. :D
