icm info wanted

Hi , I remember reading somewhere about the "new" icm's being poorly made and it being a crap shoot as far as getting one that will work for a reasonable amount of time. Any news on this?? I had to install my used spare this weekend and would like to have a spare on hand. Thanks

Ok, yeah, the Parts Store ICM's SUCK A$$, if you get one, order an ACDelco unit.

Why do you need one, what is your symptom?

Shouldn't be going bad much, do you run an aftermarket high output Coil? Are you using a good thermal grease on the bottom of the module? Is the pickup coil good?
