Late model OEM Nav in an 06

I'm wondering if any knows how or has done an upgrade to the newer OEM nav system.
I do not want to go after market as the reviews of most suck and the pricing on Ebay seems fairly reasonable for the newer OEMs
I currently have the Bose nav system with onstar and XM in my 06 Suburban.

The cost is prohibitive...Garmin is cheaper and more accurate.
