need help locating a remote turn on wire ASAP!

I'm workin on my subs/amp and I'm not sure what wire to use as the remote turn on wire. I tried using the pink wire but it was too small and I counnd't get a good connection because i dont have a soldering iron. If there is any other wire I can use that is bigger please let me know asap! I'm new to this whole thing so if you could tell me exactly what color it is that would be great!

Where is your amp located in your truck?

The amp will be screwed into my box in the very back.

I think it should be the blue wire, most remotes are that color.

Are you refereing to one under the cupholder where the wires are for the factory amp/sub? There are several blue wires under there.

It should be blue coming from the back of the radio. You will probably have to hook up the blue wire to the factory amp so the speaker will continue to work. It may be blue/white striped.

More info is needed. What year truck? Is this the stock head unit?

03-06 stock head units do not have remote turn on wires. You have to use an ignition source.

I figured it out, I tied into the TBC accesory fuse.
