Hi all,
I'm brand new here, so first, let me say Hi... I have a 2007 Tahoe, 5.3 with the amazingly wonderful AFM system... Just turned over 150,000 miles, and its getting the typical lifter tap on startup.
Doing my research on the delete kit, I've a few questions that are unanswered, that I figure you all can answer...
How do I tell if I have the DOD or VVT system?
Is there any way to permanently reprogram the ECM without keeping the plug-in delete in there forever?
I've already done an engine job on my friend's 5.3 but he just wanted the stock parts replaced. I want to get rid of all that crap, and turn it back into a reliable small block.
Any help is appreciated.
