The Tahoe actually has a 2.75" pipe, I did an exhaust mod too!
As of the muffler it won't sound any louder if its stock, are you sure you the Denali you took it off of doesn't have a Corsa GM Perf. Exhaust.
I know for a fact my Magnaflow is way louder than a Denali stock exhaust, plus I've NEVER in the history of this forum heard of somebody doing a stock Tahoe to Denali exhaust sway?

Yes, I am sure it was the stock Denali/Escalade exhaust. NO, it's not as loud as the $800 Corsa exhaust. It is definitely louder than a Tahoe stock exhaust. I was just suggesting that he do it since the exhaust is sitting right there and probably cannot be used on the Bronco. It will fit the Tahoe nicely and give a subtle, yet very pleasing upgrade. Here are some youtube vidoes of stock Denali/Escalade exhausts.

Also, I think the OLD 00-06 Tahoe had a 2.75" pipe. I'm pretty sure the new one is 3". But not 100% sure.

Not from youtube...but it's a Sierra Denali w/ the same STOCK exhaust. This is the BEST sounding of all the vidoes!!

Thanks for that idea!! How easy is it to do that, what all tools do I need? If it's not so bad I may just go out there and do it tonight. :)

It's really easy. There are two bolts towards the front of the car, just past the y-pipe. You might have to take off the rear wheel and the spare tire if you want to remove it all at once. I know it can be done without cutting though. Then, just remove the exhaust from the rubber hangars and it should come out!
