man, I didnt think of that. I ran 8 ga thru there.
umm yeah, if you drill thru that general area near the grommet, the cool part is that it dump right onto the floor in the passesger seat area. then run it thru the kick panel and your good to go.

Sweet, that's the exact info that I needed.

I would recommend drilling from within the cab, it will insure you get the exact placement that you are looking for.

I will have to take a look at mine, I found an existing grommet in my firewall that fits 0 guage.

I have a factory CD player where you have that pocket. Is that a factory pocket?

Where you drilled the wire, where did it come out at in the interior? By the gas pedal?

You just need to run an isolator and wire them up together
dual_battery_setup.jpg

JK posted a thread for the nbs trucks but the same principle applies
http://www.tahoeforum.com/showthread.php?t=2321
I rewired all the power leads and grounds (big3) and never had any issue running 1400wrms in my limited. 1/0 for all the underhood stuff and 2awg to all three amps and the lights wouldn't dim even when I had it turned up like an idiot. I also noticed an increase in mileage (20mi/tank) after all the new wiring underhood. Found a writeup for the obs trucks too

You won't need the extra battery unless you're over 1500w constant load, otherwise I think the big 3 and a yellowtop will do just fine.
