Sensor for automatic night driving light

I get a 2001 mod Chevrolet Tahoe I wondering about it is posible to remove the cabel from the sensor that turn on the driving light automatic when it become dark outside. Because i want it to be abel to turn of the light during driving or parking in the dark witout turn of the engine.

that year dont have the 0 position........but on mine i can press the dome overide button like 4 times and it cuts them off. even the daytime lights go off.

Put a 1.5k resistor on the, if I remember correctly, the A4 & A6 wires (gray) on the purple plug on the BCM (last plug on the right).

If you don't want to do it at the BCM then try to pull the sensor out and put the 1.5k resistor between the two wires.
