I just changed the oil and I dont have the owners manuel so I dont know the correct capacity. I've been searching and have seen everything from 6-9 quarts. I dont know about all Tahoes, but I have the oil cooler on there so I assume it will be a bit more than normal. Any numbers?

Woah... now wait - u talkin about a 5.7l 350 motor? or a diesel motor?
-- now the 5.7l - it is around 5 - 5.5 quarts - with the oil cooler, i don't think it is much more - read the specs on the cooler itself

you can add and keep checking the dipstick until your at the correct level, that way youll now exactly how much she takes for next time.

ya put 5qts in, let it set on flat level ground for a few mins (about 10 or so) and check the dipstick.. wipe it down, stick it back in re-check it
