Hello!
I need some help with my Auto A/C. I had 3 problems to start with, now just one. I replaced passenger side blend door Actuator (lots of fun) and it now works. The Mode actuator was making clicking noises and was about to fail, so replaced that one, and it works well.

Third problem is the drivers side blend. Always blows cold. When I call for heat the mode actuator puts air at the floor, but its cold. Passenger side works fine.

The new driver side actuator (near floor on pass. side) goes through range of motion during fuse pull and replace "calibration", so the actuator works and the controller can make it move.

For some reason the controller is not commanding the actuator to heat.

Anyone have diagnostic suggestions? There's a temp sensor in the duct. Could that be the culprit?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi I’m having the same issue with drivers side heat. You might trying to “relearn” the blend doors. Let me know if you have any luck.

I have (may times) disconnected the battery, waited 10 minutes, reconnected it and then let the HVAC re-boot and calibrate itself. Is this what you are mentioning, or something else?

Ok, finally figured it out. The original actuator failed. I bought a new one online (Amazon), but it was the wrong part. I have now replaced it with a Dorman 604-106. It works again!
