Special edition? Are you referring to the Chevrolet Tahoe Limited? If so, I agree, they look great! I would like to find an all original low mileage example myself. I am pretty sure they were only offered as a 2000 model year vehicle on the GMT 400 platform. I think another member, Boostaholic, had one but sold it in order to purchase his current GMC Yukon Denali. PM him and I'm sure he would be glad to send you some pics of it.

The 2000 Tahoe Limited is a very awesome model, agreed. I wish I had one so bad... you know they only made like 8,000 or so of those? Limited is right. It was originally planned to be the "Tahoe SS" but they opted for the "Limited" tag instead... why I'm not sure. SS would be a little more legendary, but meh. Would still love one.

New to the Forum!!!!

What's goin on tahoe ppls lol? I'm new to the chevy world. Recently I just purchased a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Limited, the same Tahoe Limited that Sasquatch904 posted in the 2nd Picture. I drove out to Fort Worth to get it after I bought off eBay!!! Thoroughly pleased I might add:thumbsup:. I'm wondering how to get the daytime running lights to only come on when I turn the knob/switch and not run all day. Can anyone help me?

You'll have to run a resistor or modify the switch if you want to keep the running lights off. I loved my 00 limited but wanted the awd for colorado. Sold my truck to my buddy, kinda miss it but I love the 6.0 in my denali. PM me if you want any guidance on mods, I researched the hell out of these trucks when I had mine and I love seeing a well executed limited. Didn't make enough money when I had mine to mod it alot but it was coming along. They did quite a few things differently in the limiteds, all kinds off cool stuff I learned about them and the paint was nicer then my denali

The powerslot rotors and magnaflow ypipe w/high flow cats were the best mods I did to the truck.

WELLLLLLL....I was planning on puttin HIDs on my hoe, but I don't want them to be on all day while I'm driving so i would like to have the DRL's off, unless its ok for the HIDs to run for the duration of my daytime driving. ALSO, i noticed in one of your pictures the the passenger side area where the exhaust oipe comes out has no cut out. How did you achieve this? I wanted to try and run true duals from front to back.

hey boost, what kinds of things, or do you have a website, when you said that there are many things done differently to these limited instead of the regular ones??

Congratulations on your new purchase! Welcome to the forum, you have one of the more sought after vehicles among Tahoe enthusiasts.

As a fellow Tahoe owner I would advise you to keep the functionality of the DRL feature on your new vehicle. IMO, the vehicle just looks better in traffic with the DRLs on, and it adds a marginal saftey benefit as well. Even if you do upgrade your lighting to HID xenon, there will be no danger to your vehicle in retaining the DRL feature. After the initial ignition of the xenon gasses in the bulb, HID xenon lamps actually use less power than regular halogen lamps. I have HID xenon lamps and the DRL feature enabled on my Chevrolet Tahoe and it looks great during night and day. Either way though, keep us posted and lets see some pics of that new vehicle! Take care!

i mean.. u could always use the E-Brake trick if u wanted them off.. - just slightly depress the e-brake just enough for the brake light in the dash to come on.. but not enough for the e-brake to actually function - and than the drl's will turn off..
