do you have the digital display or the 3 knobs? if you have the knobs, are both the fan and vent knobs on auto? i figured mine was goofy cause i kept it on the mid-level vent and my temp control never worked, turns out i was using it wrong, lol.
I'm the oddball of the group that chose to run a 275/45R20 tire. It's a slightly lower profile but I still think they ride fine. I may step it up to a 275/55 next set I get, but we'll see.
I have the Goodyear Eagle GT II and I love them. They've given me great treadwear and traction. I've put ~40k on my Yukon this year and my tires still show 6-7/32 all around. They're also quiet and smooth riding. I wouldn't say they are the best tire, but for the money I am very pleased.
00-06 trucks use a torsion bar suspension up front, both 2WD and 4WD. Now to answer your question. When we lowered my truck, we had to use an air hammer to knock the torsion bars out. That part really sucked. Anyway, once we knocked them loose, the keys came right out.
Typically it just depends on how dark you tint them. If you completely black them out then you could get into a lot of trouble. Just doing a light coat to "smoke" them usually doesn't hamper the light output enough to cause problems.
Coil isolators are rubber pads that keep the coil from rubbing on the pocket and making noise. They are more useful on some vehicles than others as some suspensions don't make much noise w/o them and some make a ton of noise w/o them.
waaay too much stick-on woodgrain, lol. Anyway, that cassette piece can be installed on a tahoe w/ a bench up front, i just think it would look incomplete without the rest of the console.
Just did a little looking around online and I did see the Shockwaves you mentioned. While I am still not a fan of Shockwaves and similar bag-over-shock assemblies, it looks like that could fit your needs. If you do choose to go that route, suicidedoors does have a very similar product at half...
The rear is very easy. I'm sure you've looked at your suspension and seen that it is a pretty simple 2-link setup. I would suggest taking out your springs and shocks, bolt on the rear wheels w/ 2 or 3 lugs, jack up the rearend until the wheels are where you want them when the vehicle is...
What do you want to know? I've done air ride before and can say that it can be pretty easy or very involved. It just depends on how far you want to take it. Let's say you want to lay the body on the ground, that will take a lot of fab work. If you just want to get it lower, all it would take...
