If you like black I have found that the metallic blacks show a lot less dirt and smudges then your standard glossy blacks. I have a metallic black on my SRT8 and we just added a "Carbon Flash Metallic" GMC Acadia to our fleet and for black they always look clean. My wife just made this...
I love black, infact every car in our family has been black for some time now, but IMO the General puts very cheap paint jobs on their vehicles. If I had to chose now, I would go white. My .02
They made stock 22's in '05? I have Escalade 22's off an '07 on my Denali w/ no problems. I thought the new GMT900's required a different offset then the prior generations?
I had the same problem. What I did was loosen the clamps and take some scrap pieces of wood (used 2 pieces of baseboard pieces stacked) and wedged it between the tip and the rear fascia, then tightened down. I was able to get the clearance needed. Not the most scientific approach but it...
Did you test one w/ Autoride? There is a big difference between a Tahoe with, and a Tahoe without. If you are trying to determine wether to get a Z71 or regular Tahoe based on ride, you would technically need to test drive all 3.
Fit perfectly, no cutting and the color matched good. I don't have any pictures, but I will try and post some.
I bought 2 GMC decals for the Acadia and it cost me $12, at that price it's definitely worth a try. Painting will take you a LONG time to get it taped perfectly and even then, you...
I'm a Denali man, so I could be wrong, but if I was opting for a Tahoe/Suburban I would go w/ the Z71 b/c I believe all of them come w/ the 4.10 gears. Guys w/ 4.10's claim to get better MPG and have more low end power. Besides, the exterior and especially the interior looks are so much better...
Yes, the GMC emblem just clips on to the grill. I don't know the correct terminology for the type of clip, but there are about 3 or 4 long plastic pieces that have a clip "similar" to this:
The plastic pieces holding the emblem to the grill have a middle section that needs to be...
I've done intake, exhaust and programmer and the programmer is the only one to give any "significant" gains in power. However, what you are looking to do, my suggestion would be GEARS!!!
Well, that's when it was about a week or two old so it was easy, now would be a different story.
Just FYI, if you do decide to change your grill or if someone wants to tackle this project, you can seperate the emblem from the grill. You can even do it with the grill still on the vehicle, it...
