Cam questions

has anyone ever put a "bigger" cam in our gen trucks, i hear of ones for the other ls basied motors but does anyone know of one that would get the bang for the buck in our gen trucks and sound good?

i just put a 206/212 comp cam in my 04 Tahoe. I am happy with it as I didnt lose any low end and is a great daily driver cam. I also coupled it with some long tubes.

cool thats gotta sound good! i just have shortys with a flowmaster cat back. and k&n intake, so i can only really go farther into the motor and was wonderin what worked for other people, thanks!

I got bigger cams from Jasper when I got the engine. Sad to say I don't know what cams they put in yet. Also got K&N and Magnaflow cats. Sounds very nice, but not loud. The performance is hard to tell at the moment because it's not really tuned right and my trans is not really doing it's job.

ok, well i just ordered a cam its a 218 220 with 112 loab seperation and its lift is i wana say .338 and .348 so im hopin i dont need new springs eather for the truck, and i hope that i dont need a new stall converter.
