Replacing the Headunit...

I got a kenwood double dinn nav unit and was just wondering if i needed a dash kit or if it will just fit right in when I remove the stereo. Does anybody know? Some say you do ... Some say you dont!

Yes, you will need a dash kit for your Kenwood Navi. I've found in the past that BEST makes the nicest looking kits. I went through a number of different dash kits in my 06 F150 to mount my Avic-z2 navi. I didn't care for the looks of the Metra or the Scosche kit. The BEST part # for the 07 Tahoe is BKGMK317. You'll also need to get the appropriate wiring adapter for your truck which seems to be running about $150.

Man I didnt know the wiring harness was so expensive. Is it gold plated or something.... lol!!
