Wierd Noises comin from my hoe

Every time i drive my hoe it gives a quick ticking noise when i apply the gas. It only really happens for about 3 minutes after i start it up. after it has been running for awhile it doesnt make this noise. It is cold here in idaho and idk if that has anything to do with it. Does anyone have an idea of what this could be?

Only under load? You have an exhaust leak, maybe exhaust manifold gaskets, or a cracked manifold itself. Once the engine heats up, the leak "seals" itself through expansion.

It could also be piston slap as well.
